Acanthastrea lordhowensis is a colonial coral that forms low clumps The corallites are on the larger side, up to 15 mm (0.6 in) in diameter, with walls composed of closely packed septa with fine teeth. Acanthastrea lordhowensis can be found in the Indo-Pacific on reefs at depths of maximum 98 feet. The range for the species extends from the Red Sea to the eastern coast of Africa to the East China Sea. This species grows polyps fast is very easy to take care of.
