Queen Angel - Holacanthus Ciliaris; Juv.

Queen angelfish are also known to have blue markings around each gill cover. This species can grow up to 17 inches and can live up to 15 years under ideal conditions. Queen angels have particular colors that help them blend in the reefs to avoid predators. They feed on corals, plankton, algae, and sometimes jellyfish. This species is recommended to be handled by an experianced aquarist, as it can be agressive. Recommended tank size is 250 gallons minimum. Algae based foods are also recommended to provide proper nutrients.
